Nitinol Description:
Nitinol is a nickel-titanium alloy with super elasticity and shape memory properties. Shape memory refers to the ability of Nitinol to undergo deformation at one temperature, then recover its original, under-formed shape upon heating above its transformation temperature. Super elasticity occurs at a narrow temperature range just above its transformation temperature; in this case, no heating is necessary to cause the undeformed shape to recover, and the material exhibits enormous elasticity, some 10-30 times that of ordinary metal.
Nitinol Features:
No holes and cracks on the surface
High surface smoothness
Good roundness
Small tolerance
High dimensional consistency
Stable performance
Uniform composition
Low impurity content
Fine grain organization
Excellent comprehensive performance
Long fatigue life
Superelasticity and shape memory properties

Nitinol Application:
Nitinol (NiTi) wire is used in medical, aerospace and industrial applications. Medical applications include vascularization, cardiac rhythm management, neurostimulation, orthodontics, orthopedics, endoscopy, dental implants, guide wires, braided brackets, root files, arch wires, birth control devices, sutures, and more.
Industrial applications: Nitinol wire in various applications, including springs, actuators, and sensors. Its shape memory function is particularly useful in creating self-adjusting or self-fitting products.
Aerospace applications: The aerospace industry uses Nitinol wire due to its high strength and corrosion resistance.
